Weekly Photo Challenge: Evanescent

ev·a·nes·cent [evəˈnes(ə)nt]

  1. Soon passing out of sight, memory, or existence; quickly fading or disappearing.

The Daily Post, Krista Stevens

The still life tableaus I find at the beach are evanescent; I have to capture them at that moment, before the wind and the surf sweep them away. Their fleeting existence is part of what intrigues me and inspires me to look for interesting juxtapositions of color, form, and texture.

In this blog, you will find not only an exploration of all that is good in our knitterly lives, but also a variety of posts tying together my passions for writing, photography, and my home state of Oregon.

    1. I wonder what was up with that?? It was a new term for me, and fun to find photos to represent it.

I can’t wait for your next “What are you reading?” post. I found a new author on Audible who is now my new favorite author. Sci-fi, so not for everyone, but exciting to have stumbled upon a new author who can definitely spin a tale!

  1. These are such beautiful photos. I find whenever I’m at the beach, I can’t help looking for the next beautiful thing to wash up on the sand. Because of this, I always come home with pockets full of shells and rocks.
