Hood River Cowl

Hood River Cowl

The Hood River Cowl – This brocaded cowl’s inspiration came at the 2013 Columbia Gorge Fiber Festival in Hood River, Oregon. It is worked in the round and has alternating sections of X’s and O’s and single-color corrugated ribbed edging. I particularly love corrugated ribbing in colorwork, and wanted to adapt it for use in a single color. It creates a lovely, architectural edging, but it will not have the elasticity of regular ribbing and will make a firmer fabric.

A brief tutorial on corrugated ribbing is included in this pattern.
