The Queen’s Spa Cloth is the newest installment in the Folk Tales Spa Cloth Collection. Like the Fairy Godmother’s, Castle Beach and Cinderella’s Spa Cloths, it is knit sideways, using pima cotton to create a soft, luxurious and pampering facial cloth. The Queen’s Spa Cloth also features elongated stitches, unusual and fun to make. It’s not really practical as a cloth, but it is a kick in the pants to knit! The Queen’s Spa Cloth is named after a vintage stitch, the Queen’s Edging.

The key to this pattern is using the correct needle size for the yarn – one which allows the lace pattern to be open just enough to show, but not so much that it loses its definition. If substituting yarn, try the largest needle size recommended on the ball band, or even one size larger. You may have to experiment a bit to find the look you like.
Other Materials: 1 stitch marker, additional markers if desired, tapestry needle.
